Can led rope lights be used in wet locations? Do they get hot? What is the max operating length?

The max run for LED rope light is 600′ with a high output rectifier. The heat output is minimal but they are warm to the touch. As far as using them in wet locations; It is possible but they can’t be submerged and it is recommended that you use PVC sealant on the connections. New LED strip lighting has a waterproof rating of IP67, which should hold water out up to 1 meter deep. Strip lighting has a max run of 22′ without using amplifiers.
