Interesting LED lighting Tips

LED Rope Lights Add comments

LED has gone through a curious evolution. This form of lighting was originally confined to parties and holidays. Now it has become mainstream and is already being hailed as the latest generation of lighting. Governments are embracing this form of lighting in all sorts of public works while households are using this to cut down costs and help the environment. As of now, LED lights are available in various forms including Rope Lights, light bars and strip lights. However, enthusiasts have not forgotten the humble decorative origins of LED bulbs and there is still plenty of ways to create interesting but dazzling forms of interior lighting decor.

The following are some interesting lighting ideas that you just might consider taking up.

Bottle lights: one idea involves using a very thin form of Rope Lights.  Use the LED Rope Light to fill up a large bottle (either glass or plastic) and then light it up. A way to enhance that idea would be to put together different colors of LED on single ‘rope’ and then fill the bottle. You can easily splice the lights together with some standard do-it-yourself tools.

LED curtains: You can use multiple LED Rope Lights to create an LED light curtain. However make sure that you use a low-voltage variant because it might get a little too warm. Also make sure that you are able to connect together the different lights in an orderly manner.

Stars in the ceiling: Use a bunch of LED lights or single bulbs to create a ‘starry night’ effect in your room. This dazzling effect will especially appeal to kids of all ages. You can also use a second layer, tiles, or woodwork to create an enhanced effect and make it easier for you to change the bulbs if necessary.

Keep in mind that some of the more advanced LED lighting ideas require more work, and in some cases small scale renovations would be necessary. However, the more basic ideas can be done right at home without any professional help.
